4TH OF JULY MEANS COOKOUTS AND GET TOGETHERS WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
HERES A COUPLE RECIPES TO HELP YOU OUT THIS 4TH.
Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 can (15-1/4 ounces) sliced peaches, drained
- 1-1/4 cups sugar, divided
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup 2% milk
- Whipped cream, optional
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°. Pour butter into a shallow 2-qt. baking dish; set aside. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup juice. In a saucepan, bring peaches and reserved 1/4 cup juice just to a boil.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk; mix well. Pour over butter in baking dish. Spoon hot peaches over batter. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Bake until bubbly and golden, 20-25 minutes. Serve warm and, if desired, with whipped cream.
Buffalo Chicken Deviled Eggs
If you love the spice from buffalo sauce and tasty deviled eggs, this combination will blow your mind. Bring this dish to a family barbecue or a Fourth of July gathering. It’s sure to be a hit.Ingredients
- 12 hard-boiled large eggs
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese, divided
- 2 celery ribs, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped cooked chicken breast
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon Buffalo wing sauce or 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- Optional: Additional Buffalo wing or hot pepper sauce.
Directions
- Cut eggs lengthwise in half. Remove yolks, reserving whites. In a bowl, mash yolks and 1/4 cup cheese. Stir in celery, mayonnaise, chicken, parsley, wing sauce and pepper.
- Spoon into egg whites. Refrigerate, covered, at least 1 hour before serving. To serve, sprinkle tops with remaining cheese and, if desired, drizzle with additional wing sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 cups salsa
- 1/2 cup grated onion
- 2/3 pound ground turkey
- 2/3 pound ground pork
- 2/3 pound ground beef
- SAUCE:
- 3 cups tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 cup mixed fruit jelly
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup prepared mustard
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, combine eggs, bread crumbs, salsa and onion. Add turkey, pork and beef; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 1-1/2-in. balls. Place meatballs on greased racks in two 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake until browned, 18-22 minutes.
- In a 6-qt. slow cooker, combine sauce ingredients. Add meatballs; gently stir to coat. Cook, covered, on low 3-4 hours or until meatballs are cooked through.

Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual American hot dog competitive eating competition held each year on July 4th at Nathan’s Famous Corporation’s original restaurant at the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island, a neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City1.
